Ryan Schulok is a 5th-year Architectural Engineering student focusing on the mechanical option. In May 2017, he will graduate with an integrated Bachelor/Master of Architectural Engineering.

Throughout his summers away from school, he has interned for AKF Group. AKF Group is a MEP/FP/AV/IT firm that conducts design work as well as commissioning. With the three years interning with AKF, he has been offered a full-time mechanical engineer position that will assist in HVAC design for an assortment of building classifications. He got the opportunity to also incorporate a new software to organize specifications for projects, called e-Specs by Interspec. This program allows the Revit model families to automatically create a specification for the project, and keep it updated at all times. The program also would delete specifications for equipment that had been removed from the project.

His personal interests in HVAC design consist of incorporating chilled beams into the projects at his upcoming job. Another one of his interests would be utilizing CHP in hospital work. With taking classes and having mentors at his company, being able to execute these interests will be possible.
